Introducing Teddy
Teddy is owned by Susan and Harry Parker. We first met Teddy in February 2015, when a shelter volunteer, at Smithfield Animal Shelter, brought him to our
shelter dog enrichment classes. It was at that time that we realized he was indeed a special boy. We liked what we saw in him so much, we officially adopted him in April 2015.
Teddy's official name is "Theodore Francis Green" but, he answers to "Teddy." He is now the mascot of PVD Pups. It is no easy task to transform a dog that has been at the shelter for such a long time (a year and a half) into a therapy dog. He just graduated his "Good Manners" C.L.A.S.S. and is working on obtaining his airport therapy certification. He is still a work in progress but we couldn't be more proud of him. Teddy is the voice of shelter dogs and will be the very first dog in RI to be a Certified Pet Therapy Dog for T.F. Green Airport. Be on the lookout for Teddy at T.F. Green. He is already a frequent flyer there!
